Is Covid 19 a Medical Virus Turned into a Political Virus?
It appears now that the Covid 19 virus is no longer simply a medical virus that threatens the health of Americans, it has become a political virus that the Left is exploiting:
- To shut down the American Economy
- To damage President Trump’s chances for reelection
- To limit our Freedom
- To destroy capitalism
- To transform our Constitutional Republic into a socialist country
Red Flag Warning!
The Left is using the Covid 19 virus to not only scare Americans, but to control the American Economy and to achieve socialist objectives they could not obtain through the ballot box over the years, such as:
- Shut down industrial production
- Stop using fossil fuels
- Eliminate the use of automobiles
- Halt airline travel
- Limit economic growth
The Left and the mainstream media created a virtual Covid 19 panic. Using doomsday death models that predicted up to literally millions of deaths, hospital capacity overloads, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) bed shortages, and ventilator rationing, the Left managed to shut down much of America.
Compare Doomsday Covid 19 Political Virus Models and Doomsday Climate Change Models
Remember back in January when Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said that the world will end in 12 years if climate change is not addressed.

Both sets of models were probably based on incomplete data and obviously questionable model assumptions. Exponential growth can be expected to be way off, if the input data or the assumptions or the model itself are flawed.
Notice how the Left is attempting to promote a socialist agenda in both cases.
Covid 19 Political Virus – How Much Damage Will it Do to the Economy?
If the stay-at-home orders, the lock downs and the shutdowns end by May 1st, we can probably expect a recession this summer and a solid recovery in 2021.
If the stay-at-home orders, the lock downs and the shutdowns end by June 1st, we can probably expect a more severe global depression this summer and a recovery in two to three years.
What is the Human Cost of a Recession or Depression?
Consider one study:
“Even a brief recession has lasting consequences. In rough terms, each 1 percent rise in unemployment leads to one additional suicide for each 100,000 people. If unemployment increases by 5 percent in the current economic shutdown, that could mean some 16,500 additional suicides. A 10 percent spike in unemployment could mean some 30,000 additional suicides.”
We also know that an increase in unemployment rate will likely result in an increase in opioid overdose deaths. Another study:
“… by the National Bureau of Economic Research found a 1 percent increase in the unemployment rate could mean a 3 percent rise in opioid overdose deaths and more than a 6 percent rise in emergency room visits.”
Even heart attacks among older Americans aged 50 – 75 can increase 35% as a result of unemployment.

The bottom line is straight forward. We can expect adverse human costs from a Covid 19 induced recession or depression.
We Must Re-Open America Soon!
Let’s face the facts:
- The Covid 19 models over hyped the danger of the virus to most Americans.
- It has impacted about 12 to 15 cities primarily.
- It mostly impacts those who are older, and those who are obese, and those with compromised health situations.
- A case can be made that we should not have shut down so much of America.
- The stay-at-home orders and social distancing requirements might not have really helped.
- Some experts think social distancing was not a good idea. Many think simple common sense efforts would have been sufficient.
- We must re-open America soon!
Real World Socialism – Understand the Top Political Issue of the 2020 Presidential Election
Real World Socialism is a comprehensive, tour de force of the history of socialism, including the many variations and names it has taken on over the centuries, as well as how socialism has failed miserably in both theory and practice. It also highlights the reasons socialists argue for socialist planning and policies, and why those arguments collapse in the real world. Real World Socialism also presents the main powerful reasons why freedom, free markets, and capitalism are far superior to socialism.
Real World Socialism is a perfect gift for high school and college students that have to put up with Marxist and socialist teachers and professors attempting to indoctrinate them with socialist and communist ideas.
