Trump Approval Rating Skyrockets

Trump Approval Rating Soars to 52% after State of the Union Address Going into the SOTU, the Trump approval rating was about 48%. That was a fairly strong number. The nearly 90 minute SOTU boosted his approval rating to a significant 52%. The Trump Approval Rating was reported by Rasmussen Reports, which is actually a poll of “likely voters.” Typically, “likely voters” provide a better reading of future election results. Polls of “registered voters” are less informative because many registered voters do not follow through and actually vote in elections. Note that in my forecast model, I think the Trump…

Trump, Democrats and Socialism

Trump Rejects Socialism in State of the Union Address In what will likely go down as an historic statement in American History, President Trump clearly, concisely, and unequivocally rejected socialism for America. He stated in his 2019 State of the Union address that America was founded on freedom and not on government control. In the president’s words: “America was founded on liberty and independence and not government coercion, domination and control … We are born free and we will stay free.” No doubt this rejection was tough for Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to handle. They have been…

Who Will Win the State-of-the-Union Battle – Trump or Pelosi?

President Trump vs Speaker Pelosi 2019 State of the Union Battle – Who Wins? Who Loses? The State-of-the-Union Battle between President Trump and Speaker Pelosi is the latest disagreement that is being triggered by the refusal of the House Democrats to fund the $5.7 Billion sought by President Trump for a wall to shut down the illegal immigrant flow of people and drugs through the southern border. President Trump clearly believes that illegal immigration and the lack of adequate border security represents both a national security and humanitarian crisis to the United States. He seeks $5.7 Billion for a physical…

Will Trump Declare a National Emergency Soon?

Will the Trump and House Border Wall Funding Impasse Lead to Trump Declaring a National Emergency Soon? President Trump has already signaled multiple times that America faces a border security crisis right now and that failure of the Democrats to vote for border wall funding will force him to declare a national emergency. Tuesday night President Trump made his factual case to the American people in an historic oval office address saying: “In the last two years, ICE officers made 266,000 arrests of aliens with criminal records including those charged or convicted of 100,000 assaults, 30,000 sex crimes, and 4,000…

Mitt Romney – Running in 2020? On What Party?

Is Mitt Romney Running for President in 2020? Mitt Romney fired off a clear attack in The Washington Post against the style and substance of President Trump one day before he is sworn into office as Utah’s newly elected junior senator. Mitt Romney attacked Trump for a reason. The question is what reason makes sense given the realities of a popular president with a clear mandate for change and cleaning the swamp in Washington. What’s going on with Mitt Romney? Why did he attack President Trump? Is Mitt Romney Vying to Replace Outgoing Establishment Republicans Like Sen. Bob Corker and…

America’s Future is Optimistic!

Will America’s Future include Socialism? Some people worry about America’s future. They are concerned that America’s young in K-12 and colleges and universities are not being taught American Exceptionalism and that they are not being taught about the greatest political document in history: the American Constitution. They also are concerned that young Americans do not understand the cost and the value of our freedom.  They worry as well that instead, America’s young are being indoctrinated with secular socialism. Plus, in place of American Exceptionalism, they are being taught that America has a bad founding based on white supremacy, racism, and…
