New Hampshire Primary – Key Questions

New Hampshire Primary – Coming Up Tuesday February 9, 2016 New Hampshire primary is coming up only eight days after the Iowa caucuses.  The results in Iowa were surprising to many 2016 presidential election watchers.  Ted Cruz and his strong ground organization trumped Donald Trump and won after numerous recent polls predicted Trump would be victorious.  Also, Marco Rubio, whose numbers had been somewhat flat in recent Iowa polls, suddenly jumped up into third place, nearly beating Trump, and winning the same number of Republican National Convention delegates as Trump, namely 7 delegates.  Of particular importance, it was a historic…

Iowa Caucus Only One Week Away

Iowa caucus is only one week away and news stories about the Republican presidential nomination race fill the news media.  What are some of the big questions on citizens minds as we approach the Iowa caucus?  What answers do we have today?  Let’s discuss these questions now … Iowa Caucus – Big Questions Now Of course, the first big question is who will win?  Scott Walker was the early leader.  But, he left the race long ago.  Ben Carson was the leader for a time with about 29% near his peak back in the October timeframe.  Ted Cruz got up…

Trump’s Achilles Heel

Trump’s Achilles Heel Trump’s Achilles Heel is real.   It’s true that Trump has dominated news cycles for months and it’s true that he has led, and now continues to lead, the 2016 Republican presidential polls substantially.  He has shown both courage and strength.  He has thrilled crowds with his tough talk.  He has been able to say things that nearly no one else would dare say.  Plus, he has taken on the media.  Trump sometimes looks invincible.  But, if you look more closely, Trump has an Achilles heel.  Let’s discuss it next … What are Voters Seeking This Year? Voters…

National Book Tour for Great News for America

National Book Tour Update – Due to some unforeseen circumstances, including a server that went down, the Press Release has been delayed until probably mid-day Eastern Time on Wednesday, January 13th. This week the National Book Tour for my newest book, Great News for America, begins.  My publicist Sandy Frazier in New York will be managing the tour.  The Press Release goes out on Tuesday, January 12th.  The timing seems ideal for a book that covers the 2016 presidential election from a unique and innovative point of view.  It’s about three weeks from the Iowa caucuses and four weeks from the New…

Will the 2016 Presidential Election be Historic and Critical?

Hold on to your hats!  This is going to be an incredible presidential election.  It will probably be both historic (like few other presidential elections) and critical (because there will be political party and political institution realignments taking place).  Let’s discuss why the 2016 presidential election will be both historic and critical now … Why is the 2016 Presidential Election Historic? First and foremost, American voters are angry, frustrated and upset with the political parties and “establishment” politicians because they have largely ignored voters and their demands to solve many issues facing America.  Americans are tired of sending people back…

Republican Presidential Race – What Happens Next?

Lindsey Graham has now decided to suspend his campaign for the Republican nomination.  Scott Walker, Rick Perry and Bobby Jindal suspended earlier.  As we approach January and then the important Iowa caucuses, New Hampshire primary, South Carolina primary, and Nevada caucuses, what’s next in the Republican presidential race?  The Republican contest started with 17 candidates, it’s now down to about a dozen.  We know Trump consistently leads nationally.  We know Cruz has moved ahead in Iowa with his grassroots, analytics based campaign.  We know Christie has recently moved up in New Hampshire.  Where do we stand?  Who will drop out next? …

Who Won Last Night’s Republican Presidential Debate?

At times it was really a bit heated on Tuesday night in Las Vegas.  As we fast approach the Iowa caucuses, there was more pressure on the Republican presidential candidates to try to boost their poll numbers in front of a national audience.  There were squabbles and stressed expressions and a few light-hearted moments.  But, who were the winners?  Will Trump maintain his sizable, national lead in the polls?  Will Cruz continue on top in Iowa?  Will Carson stop his decline?  Plus, who won the Cruz – Rubio battle for #2 spot?  Did Bush improve his numbers?  Here’s are my thoughts…

Will Cruz Now Cruise to the Republican Nomination?

The latest Monmouth University poll was released on Monday and Cruz now is in the #1 spot in Iowa.  Importantly, Carson dropped 19% since the last Monmouth University poll in which Carson was in the #1 spot.  That, of course, seems to trace back to voters perceiving Carson as weak on global terrorism.  Carson voters appear to have largely moved to Cruz.  Now, we are about eight weeks from the Iowa caucuses and about nine weeks from the New Hampshire primary.  Cruz appears to be gaining momentum, not only in Iowa, but also nationally.  Will Cruz now cruise to the Republican nomination?  Let’s discuss the Republican…
